Played live in the wintry woods of Weimar, Germany on an old, ragged harmonium. This one-take was filmed by Lena Tabea Matthias on an Iphone. The original piece is taken from his album FLUR. If you want to be part of this personal journey you can watch, feel and listen to FLUR right here:

There are times when a thought crosses your mind that seems great in the heat of the moment but fails to stick and is thrown out after a little more consideration. In this case, however, I did not let myself second-guess my idea and fully committed to it, loaded my old and battered Harmonium into the car and ventured out with Lena to find a suitable spot for it in the snowcovered hinterland.
One thing I’m noticing over the course of making these videos is that I can free myself more and more from preconceived concepts and can just let things flow, let things happen: Completely unplanned, raw and imperfect, live and recorded in one single take. The equipment didn’t really function properly either, but that just adds to the overall charm and authenticity of the expression that I am now somewhat addicted to. The way it is, has been and should be, without a big film crew, without a big budget and without a plethora of retakes; just the bare aura of that very moment at that place and that point in time.
